Greetings from the Ho-Am Foundation in Seoul.

As Chairman of the Ho-Am Foundation and the Samsung Ho-Am Prize Committee, I am pleased to invite you to participate in the nomination process for the 2027 Samsung Ho-Am Prize, recognized as the most prestigious award presented to individuals of Korean heritage. Established in 1990 to uphold the philosophy of Samsung founder 'Ho-Am' Lee Byung-Chull, the Prize recognizes exceptional contributions to science, the arts, and community service that advance human civilization. To further enhance the honors accorded to laureates and broaden support across the awarded categories, we have increased the prize amount from KRW 300 million to 500 million (approximately USD 350,000) per category, starting with the 2027 awards. We would greatly appreciate your recommendation of an outstanding candidate from your institution or professional network. Nominations can be submitted via email or our online nomination system by October 31, 2026.
